Family & Minor Notice

Effective April 30, 2026

1. Intended Audience

Scholista is designed for college-planning families, including parents, guardians, and students who are old enough to participate in high-school and college admissions planning.

2. Under-18 Use

Students under 18 may use Scholista only with parent or guardian authorization and meaningful involvement. Parents or guardians are expected to review what is submitted through the portal, confirm that it is appropriate to share, and supervise use of college-planning, payment, financial-aid, and application workflows.

3. Under-13 Restriction

Scholista is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for independent use by children under 13. If a family believes a child under 13 needs access for a legitimate planning reason, a parent or guardian should contact Scholista first through the consultation form before any child information is submitted. If Scholista learns that under-13 information was submitted without proper parent or guardian involvement, Scholista may restrict access, request verification, delete information where appropriate, or take other steps required by law.

4. Parent or Guardian Authority

If you provide student data, upload school materials, run interviews, or authorize a student account, you represent that you are the parent, guardian, or otherwise authorized family representative with the right to do so.

5. Parent Review and Requests

Parents or guardians may request review, correction, or deletion of student information, subject to applicable law and legitimate operational, legal, and security obligations. Send privacy or parent requests to admin@scholista.co.

6. Student Responsibilities

Students should use Scholista to organize truthful information, understand requirements, and improve their own work. Students should not use Scholista to fabricate credentials, misrepresent achievements, submit essays written by someone else as their own, or bypass rules set by schools, scholarship programs, testing organizations, or application portals.

7. Sensitive Data and Credentials

Families should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information. Do not enter external account passwords, FSA IDs, school portal credentials, tax credentials, bank credentials, full Social Security numbers, or full payment-card numbers into normal forms, screenshots, uploads, or AI chats unless Scholista expressly requests a specific item through a controlled process.

8. Interview Safety

Scholista’s AI interview tools are intended to remain professional, school-appropriate, and child-safe. The service may refuse to continue or may redirect a conversation that becomes explicit, exploitative, harassing, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.
